There’s an event in Glasgow coming up which could be of interest for media types, especially those working or interested in digital.

Organised by Interactive Scotland – set up to support the growth of the digital media sector in Scotland – 360D will be held at the SECC in Glasgow on Thursday, September 3, with panels talking mobile, games, media and tech.

The all day event kicks off from 8:30am until 6:30pm, tickets are on sale priced £50 each excluding VAT and booking fee. They can be booked via Eventbrite who will also be speaking at the event with the attendance of Marino French, their head of marketing.

Among those speaking for the media section are my old boss Alistair Brown, chief technology and platforms officer with STV; Peter Borgen-Neilson, head of digital at Mediacom; Guy Philipson, CEO at IAB; Heather Kane, head of news and programming at Communicorp; and Gordon Stevenson, the recently appointed head of digital at the Herald and Times Group.

Highlights I think worth watching out for include input from Buzzfeed’s director of brand strategy, Europe, David Pugh-JonesRobin Cramp, marketing engagement manager with BBC Connected Studios and in particular Gareth Capon, the CEO of Grabyo.

More details and the full line up of speakers are at the event website here.
