Grasswire – cutting out the facts from the fiction?

This one I like. Grasswire – a community powered verification tool that uses its audience to help corroborate information online.

A link to it was shared today by @masondan on Twitter to this story on the 10,000 Words site which asked if it was a better version of Reddit, but provides an interesting commentary to the tool and its stated aims.

But a quick check also brought me to this other story from MediaGuardian late last year on how it could be important in breaking news situations.

For anyone in the business of fast fact checking, both are worth a read.
