Herald Scotland unveils pricing structure for online and mobile

The Herald and Times Group has unveiled a refreshed paid for content strategy across its titles with a redeveloped suite of apps for IOS and Android.

Claiming to have “50,000 regular visitors” each day, the company is inviting readers to “Join us on a journey ..” as part of a new promotion at the titles.

The group says it has addressed issues with previous iterations of its online offering, stating: “We’ve just redeveloped our iPhone, iPad and Android apps from the ground up to be much more stable and responsive.”

Registration is free and the publisher is offering the first four weeks of use for £1 – with increases up to £9.99 every month depending on chosen subscription package.

Web only access comes in at £2.99 every four weeks, web & mobile app at £3.99 every four weeks, £4.99 for web and tablet access, rising to £5.99 every four weeks for web, tablet and mobile access, or £9.99 for access on a Kindle.
